LOGOS -Ancient Crosses - CROSS OF JERUSALEM
The four arms of the Cross of Jerusalem stand for the four virtues of prudence, strength, moderation, and justice. The four arms divide into eight points which symbolize the blessings of the Beatitudes. The poor in spirit shall have the kingdom of heaven. Those who mourn shall be comforted. The meek shall inherit the Earth. Those who hunger for righteousness will be satisfied. The merciful will be given mercy. The pure shall see God. The peacemakers will be called the children of God, and those persecuted for right will have the Kingdom of Heaven. The Cross of Jerusalem represents the teachings of Christ while he lived more than the crucifixion.
